Alexander lived only 33 years. He wanted to establish a worldwide kingdom. His army marched from distant Greece to India, conquering one empire after another. How many legends about him, how many folktales! He is known to the Persians as King Iskander, and in India he is also known as "Alexander the Great". Two thousand years have passed, but the world's interest in Alexander has not waned. Alexander conquered the second highest empire in the history of the world.
