Socrates' teaching: the only source of success

The formula for success that Socrates taught two and a half thousand years ago continues to inspire people around the world today. Learn this simple but very important lesson through a short story.
The fame of Socrates' wisdom then spread all over the world. Once a young man came to Socrates after a long journey. His eyes are tired. Socrates asked sympathetically, "Tell me, how can I help you?"
"There is nothing more precious to me than the goals I have in my life," said the young man. If these dreams are not fulfilled, I will have nothing to say about the meaning of life. But how can I fulfill my dream, how can I see success - if only I could find a way! ”

Socrates smiled and said, "Come and see me by the river tomorrow morning."
That's what works. The next day the young man came to the river in time. Socrates was already waiting there. Seeing him, he said, "Follow me."
The young man was surprised to see Socrates going down into the water, he followed him without question and stepped into the river. Two knees fell into the water as they walked. Suddenly Socrates said nothing and suddenly pressed the young man's head under the water with both hands! The young man is shocked! Can't exhale, can't breathe. No matter how hard he tried to lift his head, Socrates held his head under the water with his strong hand! Unable to breathe, the young man's face turned blue. Desperate, he throws his arms and legs, his body trembling. Socrates loosened his grip and let go of his head. The young man starts to breathe like a hopper by raising his head above the water. After a while, when breathing became normal, Socrates asked in a very calm voice,

"As long as you were under water, what did you want most?"
"Wind!"
"If you want to be successful, you have to be successful, just like you wanted to be at that moment!"
The young man had nothing more to say. His face lit up with joy, he shook hands and thanked Socrates many times, then set off for home. He never met Socrates again, but his story did come to his ears.
One of the main reasons behind the success of the young man is the fact that human life was simple then. Now, as soon as Facebook is opened, one hundred stories of one hundred people appear on the newsfeed, then there was less distraction in life. People take any advice very seriously. This is one of the advices of Socrates, so the young man has carefully nurtured it in his heart and has used it in his life. There is so much distraction around now that nothing wants to be heartfelt.

Yet there are some people around us who want to see success just like the young people in the story. Many may know Connor McGregor. His great popularity as a mixed martial artist. Connor was asked to find out the secret of his success after becoming UFC champion. Then he said one thing that is in the pages of history
Has taken place-
“There’s no talent here, this is hard work, this is obsession. Talent does not exist, we are all equals as human beings. You could be anyone if you put in the time. You will reach the top, and that's that. I am not talented, I am obsessed. ”
If anyone has read the life story of Connor McGregor, it will not be too late to understand how true the words are! He quit his job and spent the night in the gym looking for exercise and training. Their family lived on unemployment benefits. Despite his poverty, his wife never complained to Connor. They both deal with their confidence as they choose to embark on their play activities. Connor's wife took care of everything he ate and drank. When Connor returned home from the gym exhausted all day, his wife would always say, “Connor! Victory will be yours! ”
And this one thing, a little motivation would have increased Connor's appetite for success a lot. The story of his victory would come in everything from food and drink to gossip. He even dreamed of becoming a UFC heavyweight champion! When the motivation to reach the goal works with every breath - who can stop him ?!
So please remove the distractions from life. At a time when Facebook-YouTube is wasted (these mediums can be put to great use, but sadly 95% of people don't do anything constructive on social media), at that time another person your age is working and moving forward a little bit than you. At the end of the day when the realization is, “Is! How much more could I have done if I had used the time! ” There is no comparison to that sorrow. The most terrible sorrow in the world is called ‘regret’. So let the teachings of Socrates always be in our minds, let them inspire us. Maybe tomorrow will be the beginning of a new journey. There is only one thing in mind - not two, not three, only one way to success. That is to cling, to bite, to hang.
